Terms & conditions
Pindrop was previously called Circle Socials, so these terms still refer to the app as Circle.
Welcome to Circle!
We're delighted to have you with us. By using Circle, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and the other policies that we link to here and on the Platform.
These Terms (and the policies we link to) apply to your use of our apps and any other software or features provided in connection with our services (collectively referred to as the “Platform” or “Circle”). When we mention “we”, “our”, or “us” in these Terms, we're referring to Circle Network AB..
Please go through these Terms attentively and get in touch if you have any queries. If you disagree with them, kindly refrain from using Circle.
Your account
To set up an account and become a Circle user, you must be at least 18 years old. If you’re establishing an account on behalf of someone else, ensure you have their consent. It's your responsibility to manage your account and use it lawfully.
Upon account creation, you concur to abide by these Terms and confirm that you are (i) 18 or older, and (ii) legally competent to enter these Terms with us. Always provide accurate information about yourself. If there are any changes, please keep us updated so we can modify your records.
If you're using Circle on behalf of an organization or an individual, you confirm that you are authorized to act and consent to these Terms on their behalf.
You bear the responsibility for any activity on your account, so safeguard your login credentials and never disclose them. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please alert us right away.
Transferring or assigning your account to another person is not allowed. Moreover, you shouldn’t use your account (or permit its use) in any manner that, in our reasonable judgment, harms Circle or our reputation, infringes upon others’ rights, or violates pertinent laws and regulations.
Your username
The username you select must be suitable for all users and should not violate anyone else’s rights.
We understand the significance of the username you pick. It's crucial that your username is suitable for all audiences and doesn't violate anyone’s rights, including intellectual property rights (like copyrights and trademarks) (“IP Rights”).
You're not allowed to use the name of another person (such as a celebrity), brand or company, have a username that is offensive or inappropriate, or create an account with a username that you don't have a genuine connection to for the purpose of future profit (often referred to as “Domain Squatting”).
If there are issues with your username, we'll reasonably evaluate the situation and may ask you to modify it (or even reassign it to another user). If you decline, we might suspend or delete your account. If someone argues that your username breaches their IP Rights, they'll need to complete an Intellectual Property report, after which you'll have the opportunity to issue a Counter Notice.
If you haven't logged in, added new links, or received any traffic on your account in the past 6 months, we may reclaim or reassign your username (always reaching out to you first).
Your content — what is and isn’t allowed
We appreciate the diverse content our users post on Circle! However, our primary goal is to ensure everyone visiting the Platform does so safely. That's why we've established our Community Standards.
Our Community Standards detail what is and isn’t permitted on Circle. Ensure you adhere to them; otherwise, we may suspend or permanently delete your account.
When referring to "content," we mean text, graphics, videos, links, and all other materials you add to your Circle profile. You are accountable for your content and guarantee that:
- It belongs to you, or if it's third-party content, you have the rights to post it on Circle (and allow us to use it as per these Terms).
- Your content will not violate anyone else’s privacy, publicity, IP, or other rights.
- Your content will not be misleading, be intended to deceive, cause either party to breach any laws or obligations, or harm our reputation.
- Your content won't contain harmful viruses or code meant to disrupt the Platform or any software/hardware.
- You won’t use or authorize the use of scripts to scrape info from your profile or the Platform.
- You won’t post unauthorized ads or solicitations on Circle.
- Your content complies with the Community Standards.
Given the variations in global laws, we might restrict content that might be legal elsewhere. We reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary, such as content removal or restricted access to the Platform.
Your content — what we can do with it
We appreciate your content and want to showcase it. When you post on Circle, you grant us permission to display, utilize, and share it.
When you upload content, you provide us with a license to use, display, distribute, modify, adapt, and produce derivative works from such content. You also allow us to use any personal attributes included in the content on the Platform and our marketing campaigns. This license is global, free, and perpetual. You confirm that you possess all third-party rights required to post the content on Circle and provide us with this license.
You will maintain all rights to your content. However, remember that it will be publicly accessible and can be reused and shared on Circle and the wider web.
Please refrain from sharing private details that you wouldn't want publicly visible. Do not post sensitive information that could be harmful if misused. Only post personal data about others with their consent.
While we don't have to, we may choose to monitor the reliability and legality of your content. We can modify or restrict access to any content as per these Terms or apply warnings to content deemed unsuitable for all viewers.
Our Platform
While we own the Platform, we grant you a limited right to use it to share, view, and interact with content. We aren’t accountable for content, products, or services made available by other users.
All rights (including IP Rights) related to the Platform (excluding your content) (the “Circle IP”) remain exclusively with Circle Network AB or our licensors. You won’t gain any rights in the Circle IP. Unauthorized use of it (like implying a partnership or endorsement from Circle) without our written approval is not permitted.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Circle for creating, uploading, and displaying content, consistent with these Terms. Any content we provide must be used on your profile and adhere to any guidelines we share.
You must not alter or remove proprietary notices on Circle, make unauthorized copies, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to access the Platform's source code. If you visit Circle profiles, you have a limited right to view and engage with the Platform through user profiles.
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't responsible for opinions, advice, or other content posted by users on their profiles.

Safety: You should exercise caution when sharing your location, especially with unknown parties. We are not responsible for the actions of others with whom you may choose to share your location.
Limitation of Liability: While we strive for accuracy and reliability with our Location Service, we do not guarantee that the service will be free from errors. We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on the information provided by the Location Service.

Circle might embed third-party functionalities or services.
While Circle integrates with third-party tools, it doesn't inherently endorse them or provide refunds for any payment made to third parties. Using these tools might involve additional terms, which you need to review and abide by.
Your use of any third party product or service may be subject to separate terms and conditions, which you’re responsible for reviewing, accepting and complying with. If you don’t accept or comply with those third party terms, we may suspend or cancel your account, or limit your access to such services within our Platform.
