    Pindrop checks you in automatically at the places you visit, in real time. No buttons to press, no posts to make.

    People at the same place show up at the top of your feed. Below the purple bar is everyone else within 2 km.

Privacy & safety

You decide who sees you.

Meeting people in real life works best when everyone feels safe. Pindrop is built on respect, consent and honesty, and our community guidelines spell out what that means.

  • Never your exact location

    Others only see that you're at the same place or nearby. Pindrop never shares your exact location unless you're both at the same public place.

  • Sharing is your call

    Limit or turn off location sharing at any time from your privacy settings. When it's off, no one sees you.

  • Reviewed accounts

    New accounts are verified before they can explore, and invite codes let you bring friends in directly.

  • Block and report

    Block anyone, any time. Report a profile or a message and our moderation team takes it from there.

Is Pindrop free?

Yes. Pindrop is free to download on iPhone and Android.

Wasn't this app called Circle?

Yes. Circle Socials is now Pindrop. It's the same app from the same team, with a new name. If you already have the app, just keep it updated.

Who can see me?

Other Pindrop users at the same place as you, and people nearby (within about 2 km). You can limit or turn off location sharing whenever you want, and block anyone you don't want to see you.

Can people see exactly where I am?

No. Pindrop never shares your exact location with other people unless you're both at the same public place. People nearby only see that you're within about 2 km.

Why does Pindrop ask for location access “Always”?

So it can check you in at places as you arrive, even when the app is in the background. That's how people at the same place find each other without anyone having to do anything. You can switch to “While using the app”, or turn sharing off, at any time.

My account is waiting to be verified. What now?

Pindrop is opening up gradually. If someone invited you, ask them for their invite code and enter it in the app. Otherwise, email us to join the waitlist and we'll let you know when you're in.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open settings, go to Manage logins and tap Delete account. If you no longer have the app, you can request deletion here.
